The Joint Commission — Hospital Accreditation

Lawrence Hospital has earned continued accreditation from The Joint Commission following an unannounced four-day survey conducted in February 2026. Surveyors evaluated patient care practices, environment of care, infection prevention, operational standards, and regulatory compliance across the organization and affiliated outpatient locations.
At the conclusion of the visit, surveyors recognized Lawrence Hospital's employees and organizational culture as key strengths, highlighting the commitment, professionalism, and compassion demonstrated by staff throughout the process.
The Joint Commission granted an accreditation decision of Accredited, effective February 21, 2026, and recommended the organization for continued Medicare certification.

The Joint Commission — Primary Stroke Center Certification

Lawrence Hospital has earned continued Primary Stroke Center Certification from The Joint Commission, along with the Gold Seal of Approval® and Heart-Check mark from the American Heart Association and American Stroke Association. This certification reflects the hospital's commitment to timely, evidence-based stroke care and improved outcomes for patients experiencing stroke and other neurological emergencies.
During an unannounced onsite review, surveyors evaluated stroke care protocols, treatment timeliness, clinical outcomes, interdisciplinary coordination, and adherence to nationally recognized stroke care guidelines, including clinical observations and staff interviews across care settings.
